#5 Wedding Tea

Wedding Flashbacks, Haunted Ships, and Teacups Full of Sentiment

Dear Distant Guests of a Wedding You Didn’t Attend,

This month’s selection is less “surprise tea roulette” and more sentimental flashback, so bear with me while I get a little nostalgic (but not like, feelings-nostalgic—we’re not monsters).

This month’s tea isn’t just a nod to the past—it is the past. June marks 10 years since your beloved Tea Master got hitched. That’s a full decade of marriage, mugs, mutual weirdness, and an alarming number of shared Amazon Prime orders. In honor of that milestone, I’m sending you the same tea we gave out as favors at our wedding—along with something a little extra.

Tea of the Month: Harney & Sons Wedding Tea

A delicate blend of mutan white tea with rosebuds, petals, lemon, and vanilla, it’s sweet, floral, and weirdly romantic without trying too hard—basically the tea equivalent of: “Yes, I’ll marry you, but only if we can have a cheese bar at the reception.”

But that’s not all. We’re taking things one step further this month, because I raided my wife’s wedding memory box like a very sentimental pirate, and inside were treasures that hadn’t seen the light of day in a decade—until now.

In addition to your tea, you’ll find a few original keepsakes from our big day:

An Irish wedding wand – Waved joyously during the recessional. Equal parts festive and fabulous.

An antique handkerchief – For catching happy tears, wiping scone crumbs, or just feeling classy.

A wedding program fan – Printed on cardstock thick enough to serve as both literature and personal cooling system.
