No, This Is Not an April Fool’s Joke. I Wish I Were That Creative
Dear Members of the BAMS Tea Club,
April Fool’s has come and gone. This is not a prank. I need you to understand that before you keep reading, because what I am about to tell you is going to sound like one.
This month’s tea is from a company called Sack’d.
Their bags are designed to look like little nutsacks. Every cup you brew is, technically and intentionally, tea bagging. The company is aware of this. They built their entire brand around it. I have never respected a small business more in my life, and frankly I am a little emotional about it.
Tea of the Month: Earl Grey by Sack’d
It’s an Earl Grey, which is a classic, which means the tea itself is almost certainly fine. Totally normal. Very sophisticated. Just you, alone in your kitchen, tea bagging with complete dignity.
What I cannot prepare you for is the experience of making it. The brewing process. The dipping. The moment you look down at your mug and fully reckon with what is happening in there. That is something you need to have for yourself, and I say that with the utmost respect for each and every one of you.
I saw this product and thought of all of you immediately. I want you to sit with that. Really let it sink in. This is what I think of when I think of the people I care about most.
You’re welcome.
Steeped in chaos and zero regrets,
